Software Add-on for WooCommerce makes it easy to sell and manage license keys directly in your WooCommerce store. Generate keys automatically, handle activations and upgrades, and keep everything managed in the same dashboard you already use.

Sell software the simple way

Software Add-on for WooCommerce provides end-to-end license management right inside your store. Mark a product as software, define license limits, and automatically deliver unique keys when an order is completed. Customers receive their license, activation email, and key details instantly — no manual steps required.

You can also offer paid upgrades by defining eligible old keys and upgrade pricing. When a returning customer enters their existing license, they’ll automatically receive the correct upgrade price during checkout.

Manage licenses from your dashboard

View and search licenses from the WooCommerce admin. Each order displays the license key, remaining activations, and direct actions like resending a license email or revoking access. For a broader view, the License Keys screen lets you search, filter, and manage activations in bulk.

Detailed reports show which products are active, where licenses are used, and how upgrades are performing, giving you a full picture of your software sales at a glance.

Connect your app via API

Integrate your software directly with WooCommerce using a REST API built for licensing. You can validate keys, activate and deactivate installs, reset activations, and confirm license validity — all from your app, plugin, or SaaS product. That means your software and store stay perfectly in sync.

Available on WooCommerce.com

This extension is available on WooCommerce.com, where you can purchase and manage your subscription. It’s a proven solution for straightforward licensing needs.

If you’re looking for a more advanced licensing system — with detailed API management, token support, and modern key structures, we recommend API Manager for WooCommerce, also developed by our team here at Kestrel. It’s our actively developed version with deeper features, faster performance, and more frequent updates.
